WATERTOWN, Mass., Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- General Scanning Inc. (Nasdaq: GSCN) today announced initial shipments on an order in excess of $2 million for laser systems from a subsidiary of Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH).
General Scanning's Laser Systems Division has delivered and installed the first W724V laser system to Draloric Electronic GmbH, a subsidiary of Vishay Intertechnology. The system is part of a multiple system order valued at more than $2 million, with deliveries scheduled into 1996. Draloric Electronic will use the laser systems for high volume processing of surface mount chip resistors in their German and Israeli facilities.
