Do the Concord and the other Catskill Mountain resorts fabled as the playground of New York's ethnic communities from the 1940s through the 1970s have a future?
Many of the fabled resorts are gone. The hundreds of hotels big and small have dwindled to a few dozen. Small communities throughout Sullivan County are economically depressed.
Many in that region, including the owners of the Concord, believe casino gambling which they politely call ``gaming'' will be their salvation.
